The static model is a replica of the McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle. McDonnell Douglas was awarded the contract for the development of the F-15 Eagle jet fighter in December 1969. The advanced aerodynamic design of the Eagle significantly reduced air resistance in both low and high lift configurations, achieving superior maneuverability under various flight conditions. In 1979, an improved version of the Eagle was introduced as the F-15C. A notable change was the increase in fuel capacity, with even more fuel made possible by the conformal fuel tanks located between the wings and pressed against the jet inlet ramps.
