The scale model is a reproduction of the Toyota GT-One TS020 driven during the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. The GT-One made history by securing second place despite a tire puncture occurring an hour before the race ended. Subtle aerodynamic improvements were made to the high-class vehicle in subsequent years. Various other modifications were made to enhance performance, torque, and fuel efficiency.
