Among the Panzer IVs that supported the German army during World War II, the Type F was the last model equipped with a 7.5 cm short-barreled cannon. In addition to improved protection compared to the previous model (Type E), wider tracks were also introduced to accommodate the vehicle's increased weight. From May 1941 to February 1942, 470 vehicles were produced, mainly deployed on the Eastern Front and the North African Front. Among them, the vehicles dispatched to North Africa fought fiercely against heavily armored Allied tanks such as the British Matilda. It earned the soldiers' trust.
