The stand model is a replica of the Japanese Musashi battleship, which was built in 1938 as the second battleship of the Yamato class and the last one by the Japanese Navy. Details such as the armor belt on the side have been accurately reproduced. Additionally, the side of the boat hangar at the rear is a separate part to enhance the three-dimensional effect. The highlight is the weapons, which were considered the most powerful in the world at that time. Accordingly, a triple 46 cm main turret is attached, which is faithfully reproduced in the model with each barrel as a separate part down to the waterproof canvas. Furthermore, the 15.5 cm secondary armament and the 12.7 cm anti-aircraft gun convey the battleship's strong offensive power. The rangefinder and the pelorus are also provided with a three-dimensional effect. The main turret, secondary turret, and rangefinder can be rotated with a poly cap. The Tamiya stand model impresses with its quality, attention to detail, and precision fit.

- The high-quality Tamiya kit must be assembled independently.
- The self-assembly is accompanied by a step-by-step or illustrated assembly manual. The assembly manual is of course included in the delivery.
- Based on the assembly manual, the accurately fitting individual parts must be assembled. The parts can be painted according to your own preferences.
- Tools, adhesive, and paints are not included in the delivery of the plastic kit. These must be purchased optionally.
