The static model is a recreation of the British Infantry Tank Matilda MK.III/IV. The Matilda was developed as a heavily armored infantry tank and was one of the main tanks of the British Army in North Africa during World War II. The Matilda brushed aside enemy Italian tanks and was respectfully dubbed the "Queen of the Desert" by German soldiers. The TAMIYA model kit version stands out for its precision and attention to detail.
