The Honda CX500 Turbo was the world's first commercially available motorcycle with a turbocharger, which was introduced at the Cologne Show in 1980. Equipped with a water-cooled V-twin engine and a turbo unit developed in collaboration with Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, the combination produced 82 horsepower. Despite its 500 cc engine, it had the same power output as a 1-liter motorcycle. The front suspension featured an Anti-Nose-Dive mechanism, while the rear suspension was equipped with a Pro-Link suspension. Its large front fairing with square headlight contributes to its striking appearance. The Honda CX500 is a motorcycle that will go down in history for both its style and performance.
