The standing model is a replica of the F4U-1 Corsair "Birdcage". The F4U-1 featured a unique 2,000 hp engine and a massive 4-meter propeller, as well as very characteristic inverted gull-wing doors. The Corsair was the first American fighter to reach a speed of 640 km/h. The aircraft participated in operations from 1943 onwards and proved to be a formidable opponent for the Japanese Zero Fighter due to its powerful 12.7mm machine guns. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with its precision and attention to detail.
