In 1996, Mercedes introduced the ACTROS series in different variants. This vehicle is equipped with a hooked roll-off body and roll-off container, as well as an M cab. Like all models in the CarMotion series, it has the following features:
- Charging and programming connection
- Short charging times due to modern Li-Po batteries
- With one battery charge, a running time of approx. 4 - 6 hours is possible in normal driving operation with waiting times and various speeds, and approx. 2 hours at top speed
- Simple on/off switching with the aid of a reed contact under the roof of the driver's cab with magnetic pin or telescopic magnetic rod Art. 8410
- Infrared transmitter/receiver for distance control (only conditionally compatible with other IR systems)
- Realistic braking/acceleration and configurable speed due to speed-controlled motor
- Free loading area due to underfloor drive
- Cab lighting
- Brake lights and reversing lights
- Turn signals right/left and hazard warning lights controllable
- Low beam / high beam
- Roof indicators (depending on vehicle type)
- Visible driver's cab with figure
- 5-pin plug-in coupling for connecting CarMotion trailers or semi-trailers
- Compatible with existing systems with contact wire or magnetic tape
- Control via infrared signals, permanent magnets art. 8431 in the road, electromagnetic stop coils and remote control art. 8402
- Even without track aids, a short straight line reverse travel is possible by means of control via remote control
