The exciting debut of the Suzuki GSX1100S Katana took place in 1980 at the IFMA trade show in Cologne, Germany, and was later introduced to the public in 1981. The aggressive form of the Katana, designed by Hans Muth, is precisely reproduced by this plastic model assembly kit. The mechanical mood of the 4-cylinder DOHC engine, as well as ignition cords, brake pipes, and instrument cables replicated with vinyl tubing, has been accurately captured. Additionally, metal screws are included to provide extra strength to parts such as the wheel axles. The solid synthetic rubber tires, front and rear, feature tread patterns and are mounted onto accurately reproduced renditions of Suzuki's famous star-shaped die-cast wheels to give the model an extremely realistic presence.
