The display model is a replica of the Grumman F14-A Tomcat Black Knight. Since its first flight in 1970, the F-14 Tomcat of the US Navy has been one of the best air defense fighters ever known worldwide. From 1990 onwards, the F-14A was additionally used for long-range missions and with its superior weapon systems as an air-to-ground strike aircraft. The fighter jet was first deployed in 1984 and then again in 1990 during the Gulf War. From 1996 onwards, the fighter jet was equipped with a pod system, which is a weapon system equipped with infrared lasers.
